St. Peter's offers its students a comprehensive college preparatory
curriculum which is in full compliance with the latest standards from
the New York State Education Department. In addition, St. Peter's has
Honors and Scholars programs designed to challenge the most capable
students. Grades given in these courses are weighted proportionately
higher to compensate for the extra work required on the part of the
student.
Many of the subjects described are offered on different levels. A
difference within a subject may reflect a difference in the level of
difficulty, or a variation in the amount of work expected or both.

School Schedule
The school day extends from the 8:10 Homeroom and Attendance Period to
the end of the last class at 2:26. There are 8 time periods of 42
minutes each. St. Peter's uses a 6 day routine rotation of student
schedules labeled by letters A to F to give variety to the student
schedule. Thus a student does not have the same sequencing of schedules
every day. The calendar denotes the letter schedule for each school day.
Special time schedules are utilized from time to time to incorporate
special events and yet avoid omitting any subject classes. In
particular, each Wednesday, regular school classes do not begin until
9:00 A.M. in order to permit time for Liturgy, Faculty or Club meetings,
tutoring, etc., between 8:00 and 9:00 A.M. Each period is then
proportionally shortened to guarantee all classes being held.
